This is the fixed cylinder version of Marvindustries horizontal engine (see here)
The boiler is electrically heated with a 115 V element with a 2 core fabric covered cable. It is mounted in a cast mazac base and is of steel construction; 2 1/2" diameter x 5 3/4" long, with a longitudinal seam. It has a safety valve, whistle, steam dome and dummy chimney on the top (missing) and a tube type water level sight glass on one end.
The engine bracket is mounted directly on the side of the boiler. The double acting fixed cylinder is approx 1/2" bore x 5/8" stroke, cast in mazac. It has a "piston" type steam valve with slip eccentric reversing. The crank shaft runs in a tube through the boiler. It has a 2 5/8" mazac flywheel on the other end.
General condition is good for it's age, although the big end on the very thin connecting rod is badly worn.
